MIPS Technologies' alliance with Dolphin Technology, is all about making it easier for customers to access physical IP with MIPS32® cores. Dolphin is a leading provider of high performance physical IP for SoC design, delivering quality, high-performance, fab-verified silicon-IP at a fraction of the time and cost of in-house development.
Dolphin and MIPS are working together to provide a complete IP package for mutual customers. With the purchase of a MIPS32 CPU core, Dolphin will offer its physical IP products – including standard cell libraries, SRAM compilers, register file compilers, general purpose I/O libraries, DDR2/3 and HSTL I/O cells, and DDR2 PHY – as either individual items or bundled offerings with special package pricing.
The combination of MIPS® CPU cores and Dolphin physical IP provides customers with market-leading density, power and performance for SoC designs at significantly reduced licensing cost.
