13th January 2016 at 9:33 am #63794Hi Ghofrane,
Please see http://elinux.org/CI20_MPlayer for details on how to get mplayer working on Debian 7 images with kernel 3.0.8

thank you , I did all steps but when i ran this line ” make ” I got this error
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [mplayer] Error 1regards
14th January 2016 at 9:37 am #63792Hi Ghofrane,
Are you running the Ci20 with a Debian 7 image flashed?
Can you please repeat the steps?
Did this error appear immediately, or after a while when many files had been compiled?

18th January 2016 at 10:45 am #63790Hi Ghofrane,
Glad you got it working.
I’m not sure I understand your question.
Please keep in mind.
Ingenic is the manufacturer of the JZ4780 SoC on the Ci20.This mplayer is an old version with modified sources from Ingenic that allow hardware accelerated video decode to run on the jz4780.

this version of mpalyer supports VP8 and MPEG4 CODEC or not ?
regards
22nd January 2016 at 9:46 am #63788Hi Ghofrane,
The hardware in the JZ4780 does support VP8 and MPEG4.
However, as I have stated earlier. The mplayer sources are from Ingenic.
We don’t have comprehensive information on what level of support it provides.
Please test it as per your requirements.

ZubairLK22nd January 2016 at 10:31 am #63787thank you,
vp8 works well without hardware acceleration.
but when I use Hardware acceleration I got this errorMPlayer interrupted by signal 10 in module: demux_open
– MPlayer crashed. This shouldn’t happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it’s MPlayer’s fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can’t and
won’t help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.
22nd January 2016 at 10:54 am #63786Hi Ghofrane,
The mplayer code is from Ingenic.
I’m afraid we cannot assist much regarding the video decode on the JZ4780.
