Greetings, I got my new CI20 setup with Lollipop UBIFS from http://elinux.org/CI20_Distros and realized that the board won’t connect to my BLE devices. It can see them, but can’t connect. What is the best way to solve this connection problem between the CI20 and BLE devices? Install KitKat UBIFS? Install Linux and go from there? Is there a patch for this Lollipop variant that will enable BLE devices? Will post findings on this thread as searching the forum didn’t find anything on BLE or Bluetooth Low Energy. Cheers, L

From the link above, KitKat nor Lollipop UBIFS, as well as EXT4 distros don’t work with BLE. Found this http://flowcloud.github.io/ci20-bluetooth-LE/ and now trying to go down the list starting with Python on Debian.

It works, though not yet convinced CI20 is a good solution.

Tested BLE using Debian and it exceeds Android performance. It’s possible to connect more devices at once and is much quicker to establish the connection. I used bluez and gatttool to subscribe to notifications for more than 10 devices at once with a connection interval as low as 100ms. Creator gets our biz…

    Hi Axtion,

Thank-you very much for getting back to us.

Its great that you guys managed to get BLE working well on Debian.

The blue-tooth userspace software stack used by Android/Debian might be quite different.

    Hence the difference in performance.
