I have back-ported XBMC 13.2 for wheezy and the mipsel build is available from official back-ports.
It starts and the OpenGL GUI works but playing a video results in a SEGFAULT in libPVROGL_MESA.so.1.11.2580795 which binary does not have debug symbols and is not installed from *.deb on the reference image:

    Core was generated by `/usr/lib/xbmc/xbmc.bin
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
    #0 0x364cb034 in ?? () from /usr/lib/libPVROGL_MESA.so
    (gdb) bt full
    #0 0x364cb034 in ?? () from /usr/lib/libPVROGL_MESA.so
    No symbol table info available.
warning: GDB can’t find the start of the function at 0x364cb034.

GDB is unable to find the start of the function at 0x364cb034
and thus can’t determine the size of that function’s stack frame.
This means that GDB may be unable to access that stack frame, or
    the frames below it.
This problem is most likely caused by an invalid program counter or
    stack pointer.
However, if you think GDB should simply search farther back
from 0x364cb034 for code which looks like the beginning of a
function, you can increase the range of the search using the `set
    heuristic-fence-post’ command.
    (gdb) quit

The problem is easy to reproduce, just enable wheezy-backports, install xbmc and try to play any video.

    Thanks for the bug report.

The binaries shipped with the CI20 for the SGX drivers are 1.11.

The newer ones (1.13) do not give this error. And video playback (software decode) works.
We are just testing a little bit internally before releasing them.

For hardware video decoding on the CI20, it might be worth looking into the mplayer beta for the CI20.
