Intel Corporation is an American multinational semiconductor chip maker corporation headquartered in Santa Clara, California, United States and the world’s largest and highest valued semiconductor chip maker, based on revenue. It is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors, the processors found in most personal computers. Intel Corporation, founded on July 18, 1968, is a portmanteau of Integrated Electronics. Intel also makes motherboard chipsets, network interface controllers and integrated circuits, flash memory, graphic chips, embedded processors and other devices related to communications and computing.

Intel has licensed a number of Imagination’s PowerVR graphics and video cores for use in a range of markets including Set-top-boxes and Mobile Internet Devices. Intel is already shipping devices including these technologies, such as the Intel® Atom processor technology which includes Imagination’s PowerVR® SGX graphics and PowerVR VXD multi-standard HD video technologies, as part of the Intel® System Controller Hub. Imagination has a major collaboration agreement with Intel Corporation which extended the licensing and deployment of its graphics and video IP cores for use with Intel’s PC, mobile computing and consumer architectures in certain segments. Imagination has also announced an investment by Intel Capital, the venture capital arm of Intel.
