Safety and Security

As chips become more capable and are being used in more intelligent and autonomous systems, it is increasingly important – and in many cases critical – that they correctly and rapidly analyze and react to the environment. Failure to do this can arise from errors at design time, during operation, or from deliberate malicious intent.

It is increasingly a requirement that SoC designs address both safety and security concerns. Neither can be solved by simply by adding some special IP or software as an afterthought; they must be addressed across the design and manufacturing processes.
